Student and New OTP Hub

Every third Saturday of the month is our Lanakila Multipurpose Center Fall Prevention and Bone Health Class from 9:30-10:30. students and new grads can come early to get practice tips and learn what the needs are in the kupuna population. You can get hands on training on taking vitals, learning what it means, and even listen to their needs. It’s a great opportunity to prepare for fieldwork. Sign up here to participate.

Hawaii Island OT CE Class and Networking Event Saturday September 12

As part of OTAHs commitment to build our community, Joni Kamiya, president, will be holding a free 1.5 CE class in Hilo on September 12 from 10-12 at the The Word Ministries Faith Center on 2085 Awapuhi Street. Please email jonikamiya@gmail.com to RSVP. Light refreshments to be served. Members are free. Non-members are $25.

OT on Hawai’i News Now

As part of our public relations efforts to educate people on what we do, we were able to film a segment on OT on Hawai’i News Now on how we help people recover from serious injuries and prevention of falls. It will be aired prior to Fall Prevention Week on September 20th.
